I think it is a fairly important amendment in Clause 33. I have a particular interest in Clause 37, which chooses to define the word “spouse” as husband or wife. I also thought that they should have stretched the meaning of the word “spouse” to mean “partner” given the sort and nature of relationships that we have in the world moving forward so that at least you do not want to restrict the word “spouse” to only mean husband or wife.
