    "content": "Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me a chance to also make my contribution on the Bill before the House. Let me state that, at the outset, I am not opposed entirely to the issue of ensuring that there is gender balance as envisaged in the Constitution. I respect and always believe in the independence of this House. This Bill was brought before the House because the President directed the Leader of the Majority Party to do so. That means if he had not, this Bill would not be before the House. I am also sure that even at the time the President was giving that directive, he knew that this was going to be an exercise in futility because it will not go through.
