    "content": "They have raised issues that question the objectives of starting our corporations. Of course, we know that one of the reasons we started them is to offer services that would otherwise not be available if left entirely for the private sector. An example is the Kenya Airways Authority. We also know that some state corporations support and promote development. We have the development authorities like the Tana and Athi River Development Authority (TARDA), the LBDA, the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) and the Kenya Sugar Board. These are extremely important entities in terms of promoting agriculture."
