Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 42 of the Bill be amended - (a) in sub-clause (1) by inserting the words ―or her‖ immediately after the word ―his‖ appearing in paragraph (a); (b) in sub-clause (3) by deleting the words ―(whether any sale or a sale of any particular description)‖ appearing in paragraph (b)(ii); (c) by deleting sub-clause (5) and substituting therefor the following new sub- clause – ―(5) For the purposes of this section, any statement, whether oral or in writing, as to the weight of any goods shall be taken, unless otherwise expressed, to be a statement as to the net quantity of the goods‖."
