"content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I think the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade should not downplay the matter being raised. We are on national TV and people are watching what we are saying. It is unfortunate that the only thing we are saying is ―the‖, ―for‖ and other typos. The question is: At this level, why should Members of Parliament be given a Bill to discuss almost two pages of amendments and the only thing we are saying is changing the word ―the‖ and putting the word ―if‖? I think it sends the wrong signals. It is either the Chairman is telling us it was drafted by a person who is not qualified to draft or the Committee is the one which drafted all these amendments and not officers from the Legal Directorate. There must be a problem and we are saying that the problem should be addressed. Otherwise, in future, it will look very bad that we spent one hour or so talking about typos in a Bill."
