For the time being, the Chief Occupational Therapist at the Ministry responsible for matters relating to health shall hold the Office of the Registrar until the first appointment is made under Section 17. This is a transitional clause so that once this law becomes an Act, we will not have a vacuum. We will have somebody who will act in that position until the process of competitive recruitment of the Registrar is done."
