    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security with regard to the escalating insecurity in Marsabit District in which seven people have been killed and a number of livestock stolen in the last two weeks. In issuing that Statement, I want the Minister to clarify the following:- (1) The actions taken by the Government to secure the people of Marsabit from these attacks. (2) I want to know why the Government has not taken any drastic action in the intervening period to bring the culprits to book, yet Kenyans have lost their lives. Mr. Speaker, Sir, appreciating the urgency of this matter and the fact that there is a lot of insecurity in Marsabit and many people have been killed, I want the Minister to issue this Statement as soon as possible."
