    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. From the outset, I want to support this Amendment Bill. Institutions are as good as the welfare which sustains them. This Amendment Bill clearly indicates that the police have not been looking into the welfare of their rank and file. This is about workmen‟s compensation. It is about what happens when individuals are injured or killed in line of duty. For that reason, the die is cast and is squarely placed on the management of the National Police Service on the state of welfare of its manpower."
