Members, with regard to the business of today’s sitting, Standing Order No.3 (1)(b) requires the Clerk of the National Assembly to first lay a list of names of persons elected as Members of the National Assembly on the Table of the House. When we say elected, we mean from the 290 constituencies, the 47 county constituencies and the 12 nominated Members of Parliament. I confirm that I have prepared the list containing the names of all persons elected as I have explained as Members of the National Assembly save for the Member for Kitutu Chache South Constituency, where as you are aware, elections were not held in that constituency in the last general elections. I, therefore, direct the Senior Deputy Clerk Mr. J.N. Mwangi to lay the said list on the Table of the House."
