"content": "The other thing that was in that speech is what has been said. As much as we respect one another’s functional independence each of the arms of Government and more so the independent constitutional commissions… Anybody who holds office in any of the arms of Government must be firm to make sure that nobody, whether foreign powers or foreign agencies, or evil and civil societies inside or outside this country are controlling us in any way. I have no fear of contradiction to say from this House that one of these arms of Government, especially the Judiciary, has a case to answer to the people of Kenya. There are cases we know where the Judiciary has recruited and put in office researchers who do research for judges who have become very lazy. They do not research on the legal cases that are before them. Many of these researchers are fronted or brought to those offices through some of these evil and civil societies that operate in Kenya. Therefore, I will be asking Members of this House that even as we respect the functional independence of the other arms of Government we must also be firm and question the activities of some of these people."
