"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I begin by thanking the people of Kipkelyon West for finding it fit to elect me to represent them in the 12th Parliament. I promise and pledge that I will do everything within my powers to ensure that they get the services that they direly need. I congratulate you and Hon. Speaker, Justin Muturi. I also congratulate His Excellency the President and the Deputy President, for winning the presidential election resoundingly on 8th August 2017. I assure the people of Kipkelyon West that their victory will not go in vain, and that on 17th October we shall do it again in a bigger number than we did before. Having come to this Parliament as new Members, we are beginning to get used to the theatrics, gymnastics and embarrassing methods of leadership that our opponents in the Opposition are using. An Opposition leadership that asks its Members of the National Assembly not to appear in the House to elect a Speaker and goes ahead to send its Members to participate in the Senate leaves one wondering what kind of leadership it is. Some of us come from constituencies where service delivery matters. I was told by one Member that for them lying on tarmac roads defending baba secures them re-election.
