    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. First and foremost, I take this opportunity to thank the great people of Belgut for according me an opportunity to represent them in this great House. Again, I want to congratulate my fellow Members for being elected. I specifically want to congratulate the Member for Bomet East, who also doubles up as my mother-in-law, for her election. After our swearing in and the Supreme Court ruling, I went back to my people of Belgut and I was at pains to explain to them what really happened in the Supreme Court. They were telling me that they had elected me and the President and yet I was going back to them to ask for votes. This is unfortunate inasmuch as the President spoke about respect of the rule of law. I want to mention that what happened in the Supreme Court was a judicial coup.
