"content": " Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir for giving me this opportunity to comment on the Presidential Speech. Before I do that, kindly allow me with humility and respect to congratulate you for your election as speaker of the Senate and also take this opportunity to thank the great people of Meru County for having found it fit to elect me as their Senator. I want to commit that I will serve them with a lot of diligence and I will do what I am required by the Constitution to do in the execution of my mandate as the senator for Meru County. It was not an easy contest but I thank them for overwhelmingly voting for me. I would want to respond to some claims that have been made before and attributed to me, for referring to this House as nyumba ya wazee."
