"content": "Hon. Speaker, you have seen that there are those who have been elected as Members just to come and vote and walk out. They are told by their party leader not to come to Parliament, but still defy him and come to the Chamber. It is good today they have tasted the will of the people, that is, the Jubilee tyranny. It is from the people. It is not us. We were hardly 160 Members, but now we are 216 Members. We did not put a gun on any voter’s head. The people, in their wisdom on 8th August 2017, walked to polling stations and formed long queues, notwithstanding rain and sunshine and they decided to give Uhuru Kenyatta the required numbers to run this country."
