    "content": "I do not believe that the review of the election laws will be a solution to the unique challenges this country is facing. I believe that better negotiations and a negotiated settlement are the solution to the unique problems this country is facing. I hope and believe that Members, during recess, will come together to see how best they can unite this country. I also believe that the leadership of this House will act as a symbol of unity which brings us together so as to forge unity for this country. With that, I strongly support the ratification of the East African Community Protocol before us. East Africa has a lot in common and we are one community, hence any actions meant to bridge the gap between the partner states is acceptable. I believe this Protocol is in compliance with Section 8 and the treaty is definitely consistent with our Constitution and values. Thank you."
