"content": "On the first one, Hon. Olago Aluoch, being a seasoned Member of this House, I am as eager as you to know the reasons for that reduction. The best way is to reason with the Leader of the Majority Party as he canvasses his position. On the second one, I want to refer you to the Standing Orders, which I am sure you are well versed with, especially having been a Member of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs. Yes, Bills need to be committed to Departmental Committees, but looking at Standing Order No. 127(2), it states: “Notwithstanding paragraph (1), the Assembly may resolve to commit a Bill to a select committee established for that purpose.”"
