    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Chairman. I stand to support the amendment. This amendment is very important because it is aimed at addressing gaps in the existing law. We have had situations where, wilfully, election officials have failed to carry out their duties. With these penalties prescribed in law, whoever is appointed as a presiding officer or a returning officer will be alive to what awaits him or her in the event that he or she wilfully decides not to sign a particular form and, therefore, forcing some people to go to court to seek nullification of the election results."
