"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, under the KPA Act, Cap.391, Section 5(1), the power to appoint the Managing Director is vested in the Ministry of Transport. Section 5(1) of the Act provides as follows:- “There shall be a Managing Director who shall be appointed by the Minister after consultation with the board, and whose terms and conditions of service shall be determined by the Minister in the instrument of appointment or otherwise in writing from time to time”. I wish to confirm to the House that the relevant law in accordance with the Act was followed. That is my Ministerial Statement."
