    "content": "Therefore, when he was elected Governor, he was one of the Governors whom I put down in my note book that I was going to observe because I knew he was a governor who would be an example to other governors on how to govern a county. Sure enough from what I have heard, he had begun very well in bringing the county assembly together. In fact, the county speaker spoke of him in very glowing terms; something which of course, we as Senate would know that the previous Governor did not have very good rapport with the county assembly at that time, but this one had begun well. He had a rapport with the county assembly and the people. For somebody who got 72 per cent of the votes cast in an election, it means that person is popular. The people of Nyeri were expecting a lot from him. This morning I could see that a number of them were too shocked even to talk on television when they heard the news of the passing away of Dr. Gakuru. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to convey to the people of Nyeri my condolences but more so I ask the Almighty God to be with the family of the late Dr. Gakuru and in particular to the son who was supposed to be sitting his exams."
