    "content": "Hon. Deputy Speaker, I know very able Members in the last Parliament who we served with in some committees. They were very effective as Committee Members and leaders, but they did not have time to attend to their constituents because they were busy in Parliament. As a result, they are not here with us. How do you measure the performance of a Member of Parliament? The media wants to measure our performance by how many times we speak, but they do not measure it by how often you look at your responsibilities at the constituency. It is also important that as we debate this issue, we look at how you can qualify for pension, if you are a first termer. Balance your time sufficiently, so that you are here and there. If not, you will end up being a first termer. You will take away your pension and then tomorrow, you are pecuniary again."
