    "content": "to review the Constitution; cognisant of the 2016 findings of the Auditor General on the socio- economic audit of implementing the Constitution; further aware that the Constitution of Kenya encompasses the aspirations and dreams of the people of Kenya and calls for the involvement of the very people to whom all sovereign power belong including the power to amend the Constitution; further noting that Section 4 of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution establishes the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee as the responsible Committee for overseeing the implementation of the Constitution and mandates the Committee to take appropriate action on reports, including addressing any problems in the implementation of the Constitution; this House resolves that the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee: 1. Facilitates open and nationwide public discourse on the progress of implementing the Constitution of Kenya since its promulgation. 2. Facilitates, seeks, views and provides a forum for structured public hearings on proposals for review of the Constitution of Kenya; and, 3. Within 60 days, makes recommendations to the House on specific proposals, if any, for amendment of the Constitution informed by the views of the public. Thank you, Hon. Speaker."
