    "content": "I was not doing it myself. I was just inducting him. I support the Motion in spite of the boycott. This is a very important matter. I decided to remain in the House and not resist. The matter of the East African Legislative Assembly is very important. That Parliament has not been sitting because our country did not forward the names of its Members. One thing that might need arbitration or mediation going forward is the number of slots. We understand that my side of the Opposition gets four slots and the Majority Party gets five slots. But the Leader of the Majority Party has used his own discretion to divide the slots. He says that the Jubilee Party (JP) will get six and the National Super Alliance (NASA) will get three. Numbers have not changed much. The people who are more in number in this House are the independents. Jubilee Party still has the same number of Members of Parliament they had in 2013 while NASA has the same number. It is only the people who got annoyed with those parties who have come here as independents in a bigger number. One of the people whose name we will forward as a coalition is Dr. Oburu, who is a senior member of the society. I heard the Leader of the Majority Party speaking about him. I had a sitting with the Leader of the Majority Party and we spoke about Dr. Oburu. He agreed to support him. He has now just said that he will not support Dr. Oburu. When I went to his office, we agreed and I told him he must support the Daktari. How can somebody be more biased than this? I plead with him to change his mind. He has agreed that we support the old man. Let him go to EALA. I can see I have gotten approval in advance from JP. I hope it is not going to change. Lastly, there is the issue of the composition of the Committee. We have two members there - Hon. Daniel Maanzo and Hon. Florence Mutua. We have not forwarded those names as a coalition but, Hon. Speaker, you will use your discretion as the Speaker of Parliament to put their names there, which we support. Let them represent us in the Committee because this is a very urgent matter that has been pending since the last Parliament. If we get our four slots, we will give one slot to Dr. Oburu, another one to the former Vice-President’s son and for the other two, we can check other Kenyans and then put their names. It is good to be forthright. We do not want to hide. We have to get those two slots as it was in the last Parliament."
