"content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I stand here to support the Motion as presented by Sen. Dullo and seconded by Sen. (Eng.) Hargura. Drought is a real issue of concern to Kenya in the regions that have historically been marginalized. It is not only experienced in the northern part of Kenya, but also in Taita- Taveta County which I represent. We have suffered a lot of harm due to drought. Therefore, I stand to support the operationalization of the National Drought Management Authority Act. When we have a section of our society going hungry and dying because of lack of food, 50 years after Independence, it borders on morality.
