    "content": "Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to totally oppose the amendment. If we introduce the element of funding, as Hon. Kimunya has just said, we will restrict ourselves to planting trees only in schools, because the Government cannot fund homes and private institutions and companies that get their raw materials from forests. We were targeting such institutions. When we say that at least 10 per cent of school compounds should be covered by trees, we know what we mean. We already have a forestry department that is in charge of seedlings. What we need from schools is the labour force. The schools should marshal their students and teachers to plant trees."
