    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Hon. Senators, pursuant to Standing Order No. 46, I hereby present the business of the Senate for the coming week. Tuesday 12th December, 2017 will be Jamhuri Day and thus it is a public holiday. Therefore, there will be no sitting. As Kenya marks 54 years of Independence, it is a time to celebrate the milestones we have made as a country including our democratic system and adherence to the tenets of our Constitution which have been highly tested in the recently concluded electoral process.
