    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, in this regard all appointments to public offices should strictly conform to the laid down requirements. It is anticipated that with the new Constitution, Parliament will be enacting additional legislation to give effect to Chapters 4, 6 and 13 of the Constitution all of which will address issues of appointment of board members, Chief Executive Officers of parastatals and other public offices. May I also add that the list being so long, Members should note that all these appointments are made under specific Acts of Parliament that grant the authority to an appointing officer or organ? If after studying the list, any Member feels that any of the appointments are not strictly in compliance with the new Constitution and the guidelines already issued by the Government, he or she can either address the question for further clarification to the Prime Minister’s Office or to the parent Ministry whose mandate is to make the appointments in strict compliance with the Constitution and the regulations."
