    "content": "The EAC is very important. If we open our borders for trade, we are going to have over 100 million people to do business with. Kenya has everything to benefit from the EAC because we are ahead of the other countries in terms of the economy, industrialisation and other things. There are some countries within the region that belong to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) or the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and do not give the EAC priority. That is why they auction people’s cows and burn chicks. One feels insecure as a Kenyan sometimes to be in Tanzania or Uganda. That hostility must end. We need one another as member states of the EAC in order to prosper economically, socially and politically. Our vision is to have a political federation of one country with one president.
