    "content": "As Members of Parliament, we are accountable to the people who elected us. They watch and see what we do and how we perform on behalf of the country in the National Assembly. When these nine members are elected to EALA, they become accountable to themselves. I do not know whether we should amend the regulations or the Act so that they are made accountable to this parent Parliament that elects them. How do we elect people and our mandate ends the day we elect them? They go to EALA and get more salaries and allowances than the Members of the National Assembly. That is why people are killing each other to be elected. Nowadays, we cannot take tea in the lobby. The moment you are served tea someone nudges you to vote for them. I am happy that this is ending tomorrow. We must come up with a mechanism on how to make them accountable to Kenyans either through Parliament or other means that we shall come up with. They should be accountable to the country that sent them to EALA."
