    "content": "Farmers in Mumias are interested and willing to do cane farming. Right now, as my colleagues have said, the company is almost on its knees but I want to assure this House that there is hope at the end of the tunnel, if only the Government can improve and fund that company. I was shocked when it was said that the Jubilee Government used almost Kshs3 billion campaigning in Kakamega County. If they had given that money to Mumias Sugar Company to improve cane farming, maybe they would even have got more votes than what they got. They used over Kshs3 billion, but they did not even get 40,000 votes. You can see how miscalculations are done."
