"content": "Hon. Members, Standing Order No.41(4) requires that the Speaker reports to the House any message or messages received from the Senate at the first convenient opportunity. In this regard, I wish to report to the House that on Monday, 11th December 2017, I received a message from the Senate regarding approval by the Senate of the Report of the Joint Parliamentary Select Committee on its consideration of the nominees for election as members of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA). The Senate, by a resolution passed on Thursday, 7th December 2017, approved the Report with amendments by deleting the phrase, “13th December 2017,” and inserting thereof the phrase, “14th December 2107” at paragraph six of Page 29."
