Members, pursuant to Standing Order No.43, I rise to make a Statement regarding the International Day for Persons with Disabilities (IPDP) proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Vote 47(3). The celebration is normally done on every 3rd December. The main objective of this is to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
