    "content": "Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir. I appreciate the Petition. However, I beg to differ with the prayers of the petitioner because if you look at the coat of arms as it is, for us as Kenyans, it is history. We need to respect our fore leaders and all those who designed how the coat of arms would look like with all its colours. This was work of art that was borne at the back of somebody’s mind. It is great people who came up with the design for the Kenyan coat of arms. So, let us value history and the design work that was put towards the coat of arms by not mutilating it. Looking at the coat of arms, there is much more to appreciate about it. If we are to mutilate it, we need to look at the jogoo which is part of its design. To some people, the jogoo has a lot of meaning, in fact, in some political arenas, it has a lot of power. So, as a Senate, much of our time and resources should not be put to this Petition. Thank you."
