Nevertheless, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 227, I refer this petition to the Departmental Committee on Trade, Industry and Cooperatives for consideration. This is because the matters herein fall within the mandate specified above. I urge the Committee to engage the petitioners, address the petitioners’ prayers and submit a report to the House within 60 days, in accordance with Standing Order 227 (2). I thank you."
