Senators, you are aware that the Committees of the Senate were constituted in December, 2017 and the elections of the positions of chairpersons and vice chairpersons were held in January, 2018. So, to equip Senators with the requisite information to effectively execute their mandate in Committees, the Senate leadership has organised a half day induction retreat for all committees of the Senate on cross-cutting topics, scheduled to be held at the New Stanley Hotel, Nairobi, tomorrow, Wednesday, 21st February, 2018, from 7.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. This will be followed by clustered induction retreats for respective committees commencing this weekend. Hon. Senators, due to the importance of this meeting, I direct that all committee meetings scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, 21st February, 2018, be suspended to allow all Senators to attend this half day retreat.
