    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I support this Motion. There is a programme being rolled out by the Government. We need about 250,000 houses in Nairobi every year, but the private sector can only provide 50,000 houses annually. There is a deficit of 200,000 houses in Nairobi alone. Therefore, through the Slum Upgrading Programme the Government has provided, in Langata alone, 900 houses in 13 years at Canaan Estate that were commissioned last year.
