He has academic credentials and professional training. His experience is impressive and in compliance with Section 6 (7) of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act. He satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six on leadership and integrity. Having seen his suitability, knowledge and innate understanding of the sector, the Committee, having conducted approval hearings and pursuant to Article 155 (3) of the Constitution and Section 8 (1) and (2) of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act No.33 of 2011, recommends that this House approves the nomination and subsequent appointment of Dr. Kevit Desai as Principal Secretary for the State Department for Vocational and Technical Training in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. I beg to move this Motion and request Hon. Malulu Injendi to second."
