We have adopted it as a routine that in every new Parliament, we have a post-election seminar to interact with professional experts from other jurisdictions who will meet, have sessions and discuss with us how Parliament functions in other areas. I want to emphasise to the Members that it is important to understand - even if you think you understand - especially those who are coming in for the first time, that we have a new system of Government. This is a presidential system and, therefore, it is important that we attend this important seminar to appreciate the views of those who have had this system longer like the USA and how it functions. It will also help us to see the relationship between the Executive and Parliament in a pure presidential system. Hon.
