Pursuant to Standing Order No. 46(2)(b), I rise to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources on the careless destruction of forests in this country. In the Statement, the Chairperson should: (1) Table a list of gazetted forest areas, indicating their respective coverage in hectares and, further, state those that are gazetted as water catchment areas.
