    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, pursuant to Standing Order No.46(2)(b), I rise to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare on the massive youth unemployment in Kenya. In the statement, the Chairperson should: (1)State the percentage of the youth population in Kenya and the rate of youth unemployment; (2)State the measures that the Government has put in place to ensure that vocational, technical institutes and higher institutions of learning avail training that is competitive and relevant to the job market; (3)Explain the factors that are contributing to high youth unemployment rate in Kenya; and, (4)Explain the practical measures that the Government has put in place to curb the rising youth unemployment and indicate the percentage of youth that have been employed as a result of the measures in place.
