    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I also come from a region where we plant tea by extension and it supports many livelihoods. I have heard the answer from the Chairperson. However, we need clarification because we have had complaints especially from Kericho County where Sen. Cheruiyot comes from. We have also had complaints from Bomet County where the KTDA is now fighting with various factories over management, running affairs and payment of tea farmers especially the small scale farmers. Over taxation of tea leaves has affected the primary small scale farmers. The Ministry concerned, the KTDA, the National Treasury and other relevant agencies should tell us if around 40 types of taxation on one commodity is taxation or extortion. They need to clarify this."
