Temporary Deputy Speaker, the other major reason why we need to have these hospitals at county levels, as much as we appreciate the existence of Kenyatta National Hospital and, indeed, it has done a good job over the years, is that it has come to pass that some of the facilities they have are outdated and doctors are few. They are overwhelmed because every other person, from Wajir to Mandera and from other parts of the country go to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment. When you go there, you witness a pathetic scenario. No wonder we are having issues like a sick person who was not supposed to undergo brain surgery being operated on by mistake.
