"content": "One of them is national interest. We need to look at the provision for payment of public debt. We must look at how county governments are supposed to run among other issues. As a Parliament, what we need to interrogate is whether the suggestion on how to divide revenue that is supposed to be raised nationally follows the principles of Article 203 of the Constitution. Looking at the figures, it is clear that counties will get an equitable share of Kshs314 billion out of the total shareable revenue, which is Kshs1.688 trillion. Therefore, this leaves the national Government with Kshs1.369 trillion."
