    "content": "time too long. We would not want to watch people suffer in camps for the next six months for us to await a progress report from this committee. I think this can be done in a much shorter time and, in fact, I would think that recommendations be considered to amend this Motion in such a way that the Committee can report back in a time shorter than six months; let us say, three months. How I wish as well that recommendations were made to amend the membership because we need to capture the diversity of this country. For instance, you have one MP from the whole of Coast Province. How I wish the Select Committee captured the mood of the House, the geographical diversities, the ethnic diversities and even the political dimensions of this House for us to have an independent view not to think it is one party that is represented in this House or it is a specific region that has the problem. The problem of IDPs is not specific to only one region. It is a countrywide problem and in that respect, I would think that the Select Committee should have a membership that is different from what we have on the Order Paper. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, with those few remarks, I beg to support the Motion."
