    "content": "In northern Kenya, we have serious security issues because of terror groups. Officers are often deployed in the worst hardship situations. As a result of lack of incentives, the only option they have is to leave the force. Most recently, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) came up with some purported reforms in order to motivate police officers. Those reforms are below par because an officer who was earning Kshs17,800 was recommended to earn Kshs18,760. As a result of this, I request that the NPSC and the SRC carry out an audit to ascertain the money that the Government has been setting aside to put up decent housing for police officers."
