    "content": "Nairobi metropolis is fed from the coastal city. If the transport system of the coastal city is not working, you will simply have the same problems. If we do not unblock the transport at the Coast where all goods and everything else comes through, the GDP of Nairobi will not grow. If you want to set up the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority and forget about one for Mombasa, then you will actually have a problem because all the goods and items that comes from the coastal region end up here in the city. If you cannot pass Mariakani with your goods or if you cannot leave the Port and come to Nairobi, you will have set up something beautiful here, but it will be impinged against by something from the other end. That is one of the things that make me say that we need to have transport authorities in Nairobi, the coastal City, in Kisumu and Nakuru, so that we have a well-managed transport system within the country. You want to cure the problems here in Nairobi, and then wait for 10 years to try to cure the problems on the other side. Swahilis say that: Usipoziba ufa, utajenga ukuta .
