    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support the Petitioner. Last week, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reduced the lending rates to the Portfolio at Risk (PAR) banks to around 9 per cent. That means the bank interest should reduce to about 13 per cent. Therefore, we hope the banks will not delay in effecting those changes. This is because, for a long time, borrowers have sustained banks. It will be good practice if banks can follow suit and reduce their banking rates for the common man and businessmen. With those few remarks, I support the Petitioner."
