    "content": "The nominee appeared before the Committee on 22nd March and was vetted in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act and the National Assembly Standing Orders. During the vetting, the Committee observed that having been cleared by the DCI, KRA HELB, EACC and the fact that the nominee has never been charged in a court of law, he meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity. It was also observed that he has no potential conflict of interest as stipulated in Article 75(1) of the Constitution. He satisfied the requirements of Article 77(1) of the Constitution, in that he does not intend to participate in other gainful employment. He does not hold office in any political party and hence satisfies the provisions of Article 77(2) of the Constitution. He has never been dismissed from office under Article 75 of the Constitution for contravening the provisions of Article 75(1) on conflict of interest; Article 76 on financial probity; Article 77 on restriction on activities of State officers; and, Article 78(2) on dual citizenship.
