    "content": "This issue of fertiliser has been discussed, mentioned and the farmers are worried about what is going on. We had a meeting with the Principal Secretary in charge of crops last time. He assured us that there was fertiliser in the stores. We do not know whether it was taken away by cartels. I am sure the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock will investigate next week to find out what happened to the fertiliser which was supposed to be given to farmers. The issue of receiving maize from farmers is a problem. There is a lot of importation of maize from Tanzania and Uganda. I urge the Government to suspend it because it is taking up the space for maize that would have been delivered by the farmers to the NCPB.
