    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support this Petition. However, we need to have a threshold for what a petition should contain. This is because some of the things that have been raised in this Petition - health matters, nutrition and the like in the curriculum – do not pertain to issues on the road carnage that we are witnessing in our country. Of course, road accidents are a major concern to both those who are directly and indirectly affected. Hon. Speaker, we need to look at what it is that contributes to road carnage in this country. The behavior of most of our motorists is very wanting. Sometimes you wonder whether or not we should have in place a regulatory body that would determine the suitability of an individual in terms of getting a driving licence. You realize that even after causing an accident, a motorist will move on to drive another vehicle and still cause another accident. Do we not have a way of withdrawing the driving licence of such motorists for some years, or for life, instead of The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
