    "content": "The Lamu Port-South Sudan- Ethiopia-Transport LAPSSET Corridor project requires a lot of energy. The National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) had already given the new coal power project an okay to proceed in Lamu. It is very unfortunate that some people have continued giving false information to Kenyans regarding coal mining, the environmental and health effects which will occur. Without the input of almost 1,000 megawatts from the Lamu coal power project then the death of LAPSSET will be instant because of lack of enough power. It was to process fuel from Turkana which will be pumped to Lamu for exportation. The oil that was discovered is good with very low sulfur content, but a little waxy so, the pipes need to be heated so as to transport that crude oil."
